Red Chair

hello again, this sorry little thing is a vintage childs chair

i cleaned it down and then started with the most gorgeous colour annie sloans emperors silk.

 

i coated the full chair and shes looking pretty good already!

then i gave her a coat of old white then i set to work with my trusty sandpaper to bring the colour through.

 

 

i think she looks like strawberries and cream

 

shes now got an owl friend and i think she looks fab

Pine Trunk

Hello again, this is a battered old pine trunk.

 i sanded it off because it had some grotty red coloured stain and to give it a good base

i thought it looked like a sad old beach hut so i went for a nautical theme with this one.

 

 

 i painted the duck egg blue stripes 1st ( annie sloan of course) time consuming but worth it!

 

 

 i then did the white stripe in annie sloan old white, gave it a light rub with sandpaper to get a smooth finish

 

 

 

 

 waxed it and added some little beach friends :))))

 

 

 seaside here we come !!!!

 

 

 

 

this is a chair that i did before i started posting so i only have the after pics

if you like the things i am posting, i can renovate any furniture you have or i have just started an ebay shop so some of the items i blog are available to buy, thanks for taking a look il be back with a funky little chair soon :)))))

shabby chic cabinet

 
this was a very old tired little cabinet, i removed the door ( actually it fell off :)) )

i gave it a light sanding, and i swear this poor old lady was crying !!!!

 

 i mended the door filled in all the cracks and delves, and removed the one remaining piece of glass

 

 

 looking sad and shabby :(((((

 

 i gave her 2 coats of annie sloan graphite, then painted the interior in annie sloan florence

  added a few finishing touches :))

 

 

so now this little old lady is shabby chic instead of plain old shabby

now im on the look out for my next project

Kitchen Island

 

i have found the perfect stress buster

renovating furniture past its sell by date,

this is a butchers block that i bought

and with a little hard work its not a frog anymore

i started by sanding it all down with an electric sander

in all honesty its been sanded about 10 times !!!!!

i then painted it with my new best friend annie sloan old white paint

with a little bit of help from her fab waxes

ive rescued a brilliant piece of furniture.
